When it comes to sports cars, it isn't a surprise that they might not be the most comfortable or convenient cars to be in for a daily driver. However, Toyota released quite a few goodies in their TRD GR86 lineup to help appreciate the little things on a day to day basis.

The first change we made to the car was the shifter with Toyota’s short shifter kit. Toyota states that the shifting distance is reduced by approximately 10% when compared to the original, factory shifter. The process of changing the shifter proved to be a simple process and did not take much time at all. We experienced a shorter throw distance as Toyota promised, but felt stiffer when going into gears.

Following with changes inside the cabin, we also installed the LED kit from Toyota to help brighten up the inside of the car. The kit also includes replacements for the lights inside of the trunk to match the bulb color inside of the cabin.

After we finished up with the inside of the car, we wanted to put the finishing touches on the outside. We installed the TRD GR Stabilizer Kit on our doors. Installation was a breeze due to its simple design. All we had done was replace some bolts to mount additional pieces to the door and we were done. The door stabilizer adds more chassis rigidity and aids in eliminating excess sound of rattling or vibration within the door.

The final piece of the puzzle was the GR Aero Stabilizing Cover for the rear windshield. If you look around the bottom of the rear windshield, you will notice that there is a pocket between the trunk and the rear windshield. This is where the cover comes into play by covering the pocket. Having this pocket covered helps reduce drag and increases the performance of aerodynamics with air passing over the rear.
