2015
The Spark
What began as a passion project for the Honda S2000, the team establishes their first base of operations in Gardena. With the new shop, Chris and Alan sought to deliver used parts, quality JDM modifications, and vehicle service to the S2000 community.
2019
Renewal
After years of operating under the name of Socal S2K Parts, the brand was renamed as Formula S. Providing street and circuit solutions to S2000 enthusiasts near and far out of our new location in La Habra, California.
2020
Quarantine
With the sudden quarantine due to COVID-19, the lockdown brought in a surge of enthusiasts into the JDM automotive hobby. This abrupt deluge of enthusiasts for the timeless 2000's Honda created a sharp demand for parts. We provided as much support and guidance as we could while following the health guidelines.
2023
Expanding the Passion
With the S2000 reaching the end of its lifespan, supporting the chassis grew difficult for enthusiasts and us as a shop. Parts were getting discontinued, lower production for crucial components, and long wait times persisted despite COVID ending.
We needed to find a worthy successor that could live up to the S2000's driving performance. This is when we adopted the all new, second generation Toyota GR86/Subaru BRZ. With similar driving characteristics, power, and weight, we looked earnestly towards the car's future.
