When replacing your your radiator hoses, both upper and lower, it is crucial to also replace your hose clamps.
As your car ages and is used more, the rubber in the radiator hoses will absorb coolant and oils over time. As the diameter of the hoses increases, the radiator clamps will begin to stretch and lose its clamping force. Once the rubber in the radiator hose pushes the clamp to its limit, the hose will burst and your motor will lose its coolant circulation.
These Honda hose clamps features a locking mechanism to make installation easier and can act as an extra lair of protection against hose swelling.
